Mehdi Foundation International’s Activities Among Muslims in Sri Lanka

The following is a mission report written by Mr Qazi Farooq, of Mehdi Foundation Sri Lanka.

Members of Mehdi Foundation International partook in the Kataragama Esala Festival, a 15-day festival in which members of different faiths participated. Kataragama is an important city to Hindus, Buddhists and Muslims. For Muslims, it is believed that Kataragama has been frequented by the holy personality, Khidr AS. 

During the festival, the Masjid al-Khidr was filled with worshippers. Our team was invited to give them the message of divine love from Imam Mehdi AS Sayedna Riaz Ahmed Gohar Shahi. Our presenters also showed the audience the images of Imam Mehdi on the Moon, Sun, and Hajar al Aswad (Holy Black Stone) manifested by Allah. Ulema (Islamic clerics) and common Muslims alike listened enthusiastically to our message and acknowledged the Divine Signs. Many of them took leaflets bearing the image of Imam Mehdi Gohar Shahi for blessings. Plenty of people were granted Dhikr Qalb of Allah Hu.

Trustee members of the Mosque were very happy to hear our message. Ulema and common Muslims visiting from Hambantota also listened to our mission eagerly. Various Ulema vowed to support the mission of Imam Mehdi AS among their different sects. Moulana Rafiq Khatib, the chief scholar of Masjid al-Khidr, had already dedicated himself to the promotion of the teachings and message of Imam Mehdi Gohar Shahi; thanks to his efforts, a myriad of Ulema are aware of the mission of divine love, have shown great astonishment at the revolutionary teachings dispensed by Mehdi Foundation and have obtained faiz (spiritual benevolence) from Imam Mehdi Gohar Shahi.

A highly respected man named Mohammad Najeem, who had already dedicated his life to leading people in invocation of the name of Allah (Dhikr Allah), was particularly grateful to hear our message. Upon being told about the image of Imam Mehdi Gohar Shahi in the Moon, he proclaimed, 'I have been looking at this image for the last four years. I am incredibly happy to hear today that this image is that of Imam Mehdi AS.' He then began to tell others about the Divine Signs and declared that he would tell all those who he normally leads in Dhikr Allah about the advent and signs of Imam Mehdi AS.

Similarly, Khaleefa Badrudden Rifai from the Qadriya Silsila announced that he would tell all those who came to him about the Divine Signs. He believes that it is an obligation upon him and an honour to support the mission of Imam Mehdi and prepare for His return. He also expressed an intense desire to meet the Representative of Imam Mehdi, His Holiness Younus AlGohar.

With the grace of Imam Mehdi, our mission has been very successful among the Muslims in Sri Lanka. We are excited to work with them again in the future!
